Zero tolerance, written down.
These are Spotago’s standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), published for anyone to read — users, parents, researchers and the app stores that ask for them.
Last updated 31 August 2026. Designated child-safety contact: safety@spotago.com.
Our standards
Spotago prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation in every form: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualised depictions of minors, grooming, solicitation, sextortion, and trafficking. There is no context in which any of it is allowed, no account standing that excuses it, and no appeal that restores it.
The product itself keeps the surface small. Spotago is 18+ only; accounts have no names, no profiles and no followers; there is no messaging of any kind between users; and every photograph comes from the in-app camera at the place it shows — nothing can be imported or forwarded. There is no way for one user to contact another, which removes the grooming and solicitation channel most social apps have to police.
What the product does on its own
- Every photograph is screened by AI at upload and again shortly after publishing. A photograph the checks find to show an identifiable child is refused outright — two separate automated checks agree before that refusal is final, and disagreement holds the photograph for human review instead of publishing it.
- Suspected CSAE takes its own path. The material is removed from the service immediately, preserved in a restricted quarantine as evidence (never served, never shown in the operator console, never sent to another AI system), the account is terminated and its device blocked, and the case is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as US law requires. We cooperate with law enforcement.
- Accounts believed to belong to minors are closed. Spotago is not for anyone under 18.
How to report
- In the app: Report → “Involves a minor” on any post. A report of sexual content involving a minor is acted on from a single report, from any account.
- From anywhere, account or not: email safety@spotago.com with a link to the post. This address reaches the person responsible for child safety directly and is read with priority over everything else.
- Directly to the authorities: you can always report to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or to your local law enforcement, whether or not you also tell us.
What happens to a report
A safety report takes the post out of the feed at once, before any decision. The claim is then checked — by AI first, and by a person for anything it cannot clear — and where CSAE is confirmed, the steps above follow: removal, quarantine, account termination, an NCMEC report, and preservation for as long as the law requires. The reporter is never identified to the account reported.
Compliance
These standards are published to meet, among other things, Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy. Spotago LLC is the operator; safety@spotago.com is the designated point of contact for child-safety matters, including for law enforcement and for NCMEC. For everything else, see the terms and community rules and the privacy policy.
